THE TRAGIC DAILY NEWS

With the dawn of each new day, you can rest assured that something interesting and funny or something sad and tragic will take place in our society.
Every part of this planet has its share of interesting stories that somehow find their place in the news. Some of the stories never get past the local paper, while others stories have a way of ending up being viral and going all the way around the world.
With the passing of time you will forget most of the stories, however, there are some that you will remember for a lifetime. They say there is always at least one segment of news that you will hear and you will never forget where you were when you heard it. For example, just about everyone knows where they were and what they were doing when they heard about the Twin Towers on September 11th, 2001.
We all can relate to 9/11 being some of the most tragic news that the world has ever heard of, but the latest Naija news is just as gruesome and horrific. It seems as though there are some parts of the world that thrive on tragedies. It makes you wonder if catastrophe is a way of life for some folks.
Some of the mind-boggling stories that take place in Nigeria are being made by under age children that seem to have no guidance or regard for the deeds that they are doing. When you read of these events, one could wonder what is causing the “disconnect” between children and the supervision from their parents? And how can it be resolved? Or is it something that goes beyond an actual disconnect?
When reading the latest Naija news a lot of it seems that it could be defined as surreal.
Sometimes states of poverty can have an adverse effect on the behaviors of certain individuals who may be subjected to that kind of life. And because of the absence of some of the necessities that are needed for everyday living— is this what causes some of the people there to commit such outlandish crimes? Is this an outlet for their emotions and neglect?
Africa is a country that is extremely rich in diamonds, but the people there do not profit from the wealth that is mined in their own country. Why is that? When you look at the news that surrounds the environment from where the stories are being told, you see the lack of sufficiency that is surrounding the perpetrator.
You can see the hopelessness in their eyes and how they have been forced to make their lack of necessity a way of life. It’s almost as though they have concluded that life is not going to get any better for them, so what’s the use in trying to make the best of a bad situation?
The news that happens in Naija is available for anyone in the world to read, but it doesn’t seem to be viewed as a place where others care to try and make a difference.
Yes, bad news happens everywhere, but for some reason, the news in Naija seems to be somewhat more impacted by unfortunate circumstances. Most of us don’t know what it is like to live a life where you are faced with the shame of hopelessness every morning that you wake up. Yes, there are times when we are at a loss of what to do next, but in time the situation eventually passes and you gain some type of reprieve until the next dilemma hits you.
But when you take a look at the people that some of these sad stories revolve around, you can see that their whole life is one big problem.
But, as life goes on, we will continue to read the stories that make up strange and unforgettable headlines. However, when it comes to reading some of the ground breaking stories in Naija be prepared for something very emotional.
